In section 3 of Into the Wild we begin to learn more about Chris and his family. His father`s life is the main focus during these few chapters. Chris founds out about his father`s past and the things he did. Walt McCandless was married once before and had 4 kids with her. The marriage became rocky and they separated and then Walt found Billie. They fell and love and soon had a baby and were married.
